EXCEL EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS RECEIVES $60,000.00 GRANT FROM THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN
Howell, MI – (January 3, 2018) – Excel Employment Options is proud to announce that it has received a $60,000.00 grant from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan to support our new Autism Service and Supports Center in Livingston County.
Excel’s Autism Service and Supports Center provides all-inclusive services which strive to meet the full circle of needs for each individual and their family. The center offers social and behavioral support therapy and employment resources for children and adults on the Autism spectrum, a mock apartment for the purposes of independent living skill instruction, a parent support group, job club for those seeking employment, and social/recreational activities.
Early intervention is critical to the long-term success for many of the people on the Autism spectrum. Quality services result in reduced social and behavior barriers, for individuals on the spectrum, increased independence and living skills, improved employment outcomes, increased community connections and resources, reduced community and employment barriers, and expanded social networks.
